The California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) chose 15 Israeli mobile startups to participate in a delegation to meet with industry leaders, investment firms, technology giants and partners from May 3-5 in Silicon Valley, California. The 3-day Israel Mobile Tour is designed to offer entrepreneurs a unique platform to advance and accelerate their startups and will include targeted visits in companies such as Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft and AT&T. Visiting entrepreneurs will engage with Silicon Valley's leading mobile startups disrupting the industry and demo to local angels and Venture Capital investors. Mike Moritz, investor at Sequoia Capital will kick off the tour in his office on Sand Hill Rd.

The mobile companies selected to participate include: CellSec, Digimo, DudaMobile, Exent, FellowUp, Fooducate,Innobell, MoMinis, Onavo, Perfecto Mobile, Rewardy, Ringbow, TekTrak, Zipory and ZooZ.

YoungStartups 2011 (held in NYC on March 29-30th, 2011) is a Venture Summit that will bring together over 350 Venture Capitalists, Corporate VCs, Angel Investors, Investment Bankers, Incubator Managers and CEOs of cutting edge startups for collaboration and deal making; and will feature more than 40 leading VCs on interactive panels; presentations by more than 50 of Israel’s hottest early stage and emerging growth companies; and high-level networking opportunities.

Venture Funds Confirmed to Speak Include:

KaChing has just finished a new round of financing (led by DAG ventures), raising $7.5 million. KaChing allows you to manage a stock portfolio in the US, and share it with other users. KaChing has recruited a number of leading Geniuses and users can track those as well.

The Marker reports that Greylock partners just raised $575 Million. This is good news as Graylock will most likely will continue to invest in Israeli startups (one of their 3 offices is in Herzelia...).

Virtual Tweens has raised 1M$, led by Gemini partners and private investors. Virtal Tweens runs an educational virtual world for kids, called Ekoloko.

Contigo (previously WeFi) raised 10M$ in their second round, from Pitango and Gemini. WeFi is a Wi-Fi social network service. They say they recently reached 30M$ registered users.

5Min, the Videopedia site, raised 7.5M$ from several VCs, led by Globespan capital. 5Min says they have over 100,000 videos, watched by over 200M users a month. They also have 'significant' revenue from ads.

According to Pc.co.il, Kampyle raised money (we do not know how much) from Carmel VC. Good job, guys!

Outbrain (previously backed by LGiLabs) has raised 12M$ from several companies and private angels.

It's great to see Israeli web companies with good news in these days. SundaySky raised 8M$ from Carmel Ventures and Globspan capital. SundaySky makes automated video content solutions.
