Jinni raises 1M$ from Startup Factory

Jinni raised their first seed investment - 1M$ from Startup Factory. Jinni develops a personalized recommendation engine for movies and TV shows, and also allows users to "consume" the content via the TV or the computer (not sure what that means really).

Kenshoo raises a "few million dollars" from Arts Alliance

Kenshoo just raised a few million dollars from european VC Arts Alliance. Kenshoo developed a system that manages advertisement campaigns over several networks at the same time.


Globes: Israeli VCs "ready for the slump" with over 2 Billion dollars

Globes reports that the Israeli VCs are"ready for the slump", with over 2 Billion dollars ready for investments.

Kontera signed agreements with Microsoft and LinkedIn

Kontera announced today that it signed an agreement with Microsoft and LinkedIn to use thier technology in their contextual advertisements. Kontera will display ads in LinkedIn from Microsoft's sites. Kontera's system is quite similiar to AdSense - it's all about contextual ads.

Under the Radar Conference

Under the Radar is a conference in Silicon Valley that showcase 32 global tech startups that have launched within the year. 
They are looking for companies that aren’t from the valley.
They've  had excellent companies from Ireland, London, Barcelona, Israel, Canada and more.

Now they are “calling for companies” for the Under the Radar conference on June 3rd at the Microsoft campus in Mountain View, Ca. 


Actus-Imago raised 1M$

Actus-Imago raised 1M$ from private investors using Rimon Capital investment bank. Actus-Imago is into Internet digital media systems, focusing on search for video content.

WebCollage raises 10M$

WebCollage (software solution for eCommerce) raised 10M$ from Greylock VC, and existing investors Gilde, Sierra and Ceedar.

FixYa raises 6M$

|

Fixya announced a $6 million B round from existing investors Mayfield and Pitango. Techcrunch reports that the site has been growing at a respectable clip. In the U.S., comScore measured 1.5 million unique visitors in February, up 107 percent from the year before (see chart below). Worldwide, comScore estimates 3.7 million unique visitors in January (the company claims 6 million uniques).
