Israel now aims to do in biotech, cleantech, and the Internet what it achieved in communications and software.

Yoram Tietz, managing partner of Ernst & Young’s high-tech practice in Tel Aviv, has been in Israeli tech for nearly two decades. Lately, in scenes reminiscent of the early 1990s when scores of communications and software startups sprouted up, he’s been watching the emergence of entrepreneurs determined to blaze trails in Internet, biotech, and cleantech.
