Deutsche Telekom is JaJah's Strategic Investor

MUNICH, Germany — Telecommunications carrier Deutsche Telekom has through its investment company T-Venture invested an undisclosed amount into internet telephony startup JaJah.

Besides Deutsche Telekom, microprocessor vendor Intel is one of the investors that allocated $20 million in the Silicon Valley based technology company.

According to T-Venture, Deutsche Telekom plans to integrate the JaJah services into the website of its internet subsidiary T-Online, enabling customers to use the server-based voice services. The service will be offered to private and commercial customers, news agency Reuters reported.

According to a T-Venture press release, the startup company with offices in the Silicon Valley, Luxembourg and Israel managed to win more than 55 million customers since it has launched about a year ago. In contrast to conventional VoIP solutions, JaJah users can use 'normal' telephone sets for voice connections across the internet.
