Partech international raises 200M$, will be able to invest in Israeli startups

Partech international logoPartech international has raised 200M$ for its fifth fund. The total fund will be 300M$, and will start to invest in the coming months, when the fund raising is done.

The VC has an israeli partner (Ami Amir), and has offices in Israel. Amir estimates that around 15% (45M$) will be invested in Israel. 45% of the money will go to Internet and Software companies.

Orange Israel launches a site about telecommunication

Orange Israel has launched a new site (OrangeHello), which is all about telecommunication - view the history, from the phone to 3G, view information about the inventors, and the technology, and more. The site is part of an idea to create a new "knowledge platform" about telecommunication, and it includes a book, a magazine, workshops, an exhibition and also the web site.

Orange has reportedly invested over 1.5 million shekels on this project.
